Santa Monica Studio absolutely nailed reinventing God of War. From fixed-camera hack-and-slash to over-the-shoulder cinematic. From rage-fueled Kratos to a character with actual emotional depth. Great story, unique visual design, it comes down to taste.
But yeah, not everyone’s gonna vibe with it. The camera feels a bit awkward for close-range melee. The puzzles can get repetitive, too. Still, if you’re into games like Black Myth Wukong or Devil May Cry 5? God of War deserves a spot on your list.
